New Belgium Brewing Company

New Belgium Brewing Company continues their commitment to the environment through the many green building strategies implemented at their new Bottling Hall Facility. Carefully designed exterior shading devices control glare and unwanted solar gain. Large skylights and vertical glazing provided uniform daylight conditions and reduced the need for electric light during much of the day. Building integrated skylight baffles provided daylight control to avoid direct sun penetration. The connected lighting load at 0.68 W/SF was 50% below code. A custom luminaire was created and designed to emulate the bottling hall conveyor lines. Each hand-blown glass bottle (by a local artist) contains two small LEDs.
