San Antonio Children’s Museum

This 68,000 sq. ft. museum provides the City of San Antonio with a tremendous educational resource for its growing population. The project is comprised of three exhibit halls which create an active environment for its guests. The facility also includes two large courtyards with 30,000 square feet of interactive exhibits. High efficiency LED lighting systems are paired with a Lutron Quantum Series control system, resulting in both energy savings, and flexible programming for after-hours events. The public spaces feature large, colorful, laminated fabric pendants that dim in response to daylight. The exterior is illuminated with warm color LED uplights that illuminate fabric canopy entry structures. A glass filled gabion wall system, which is internally illuminated with custom designed LED tape, helps reinforce the image and identity of the facility.
